We are excited to be looking for an individual who will help support our Production Department by maintaining operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, as well as troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical systems in order to maintain and repair equipment.Core Responsibilities:
- Complete daily preventative and reactive maintenance tasks in regards to production line equipment.
- Oversee equipment listening/looking for unusual sounds or movements.
- Dismantle defective machines to install or replace components.
- Respond quickly to production line calls and resolve issues promptly; communicating progress to managers as appropriate.
- Adjust functional parts of machinery and control equipment to make them work more efficiently.
- Ensures maintenance is handled in accordance with FDA regulations regarding a food plant.
- Willing to conduct the functions of the position under the guidance of GMP.
- Work putting safety first amongst all efforts, reporting issues to the Machine Maintenance Manager.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used through a Work Order Management System utilizing electronic tablets.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment as needed.
- Supports the needs of the department through direction from the Machine Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED and 2+ years of maintenance; required.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of vertical packaging bag machines, auger fillers, packaging labelers, conveyors and cappers, preferred. - Knowledge of electrical controls, reading schematics and troubleshooting, preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Google Docs, Drive, and Gmail.
- Position is for First shift coverage, Monday- Friday 6am-2pm - May be required to work some weekends to help with coverage.
