Penzeys Spices has a full time Kitchen/Lunchroom position available on our 2nd shift.. This person will work to support a warm, welcoming, and fun environment for our employees to take their breaks, while preparing and serving
delicious food throughout the week. 

Some of the job attributes include, but are not limited to:

• Having an understanding and love for cooking
• The ability to work safely and effectively in both individual and group settings
• An awareness and desire to assist employees as they take their breaks in the Nutmeg Room
• Enjoys building and embracing an inclusive supportive work environment, while being kind and sincere to all
• Comfortable communicating with individuals as well as groups
•  Providing a safe, kind, and positive environment for employees who are cross training and helping to feed our staff
• Understanding the importance of following food safety guidelines- Servsafe Certification, provided by Penzeys, will be completed within 2 weeks of employment. 

As a member of our Nutmeg Room Staff tasks will include:

• Assisting with daily Nutmeg Room tasks such as:
• Cleaning, restocking, making coffee, dish washing, etc.
• Helping with various cleaning duties that include, but not limited to: Soda machine, tables, counters, refrigerators, floors, ovens, ect. 
•  Assisting in calculating the number of meals to prepare to serve employees
• Helping with weekly Nutmeg Room inventory when needed
• Contributing to meal planning, testing recipes, prepping, and serving meals
• Comfortable using different types of kitchen equipment
• Performing other duties as assigned

Position Schedule and Requirements:

• Typical hours Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm, with the ability to  be flexible depending on department needs
• Available to work the weekend rotation as needed to meet company needs
• Valid Driver’s License
•  Available to work in other departments when needed
•  Able to lift 30 pounds
